Bridge bearings
Bridge bearings have the job of transferring forces caused by dead weight and live load, as well as braking forces and wind forces to the piers and abutments. They must be constructed to allow movements and rotations caused by traffic, temperature changes, earthquakes, pre-stressing, creep and shrinkage. Thus the bearings are one of the most critical elements of a bridge and require therefore high quality standards.
Pot bearings are one of mageba’s main products. Through decades of research and development, this product has been continually improved and adapted to always encompass the most recent technological developments. mageba developed the patented POM sealing chain for the pot bearing rubber pad. This sealing is recognised by experts world-wide as the most effective solution for this function.
