Project description

The construction consortium „SAAone“ is in charge of the project A1-A6 Diemen–Almere Havendreef. This consortium is part of the overall project „SAA“ that comprises the Schiphol – Amsterdam – Almere expansion route of the A1, A6, A9 and A10 motorways. Major roadworks and the introduction of additional lanes over a distance of 20 km are planned for this enhancement project and the entire route will feature a reversible lane of two traffic
lanes.

Moreover, the scope of the project comprises the improvement and partially new construction of a viaduct over the Vecht near Muiden, the bridge over the Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal as well as the junction Muiderberg.

mageba scope

mageba has been chosen as a supplier of expansion joints for a total of over 30 bridges and structures belonging to A1-A6. The total amount of expansion joints supplied reached 80 pieces with a total length of over 2 km. The supplied models include TENSA-GRIP single gap joints with and without sinus plates, as well as TENSA-FINGER cantilever finger joints.

In order to meet the design requirements of the Netherlands, the products had been constructed according to the appropriate state codes NBD00400 and NBD00710.

The capacities of mageba‘s global production facilities have been used to timely complete the project within a demanding delivery schedule.
