Jr. Project Manager – Latin America



  mageba International, with offices in New York City and production facilities in Shanghai, China and Kolkata, India, is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Junior Project Manager to join its team in the New York office. mageba International designs and fabricates expansion joints, bearings, seismic devices, and monitoring services for bridges.

Responsibilities may include

  • Acquisition – Internet searches, analysis of open bids, pricing of products, and preparing quotations in English and Spanish language

  • Management of projects from proposal stage to final execution

  • Review static calculations and technical drawings of bridge bearings and expansion joints

  • Create and issue Project Submittals, RFI’s and Change Orders

  • Provide technical input on all project aspects, and preparation of construction documents

  • Provide technical support to production, purchasing, and sales departments

  • Ensure that projects meet all contract and regulatory requirements

  • Coordination of purchasing and invoicing

  • Perform general engineering tasks

  • Support R&D activities

  • Travel as needed

  • Perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Maintain a positive attitude

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering

  • Language skills: Fluent in English and Spanish

  • Minimum 3 years of full-time work experience in project management

  • Previous experience in structural engineering preferred

  • Previous experience in contract management a plus, but not mandatory

  • Strong communication skills, including analytical, collaboration and problem solving

  • Good skills in AutoCAD or SolidWorks and MS Office is a plus
